Construction process of Rimso Battery

1.) Positive Tubular Plate:

Tubular Positive plates are made of Antimonial Lead Spines and filled with maximum active materials covered with polyester fabric tubes called “gauntlet”. The gauntlet has an exceptionally high retention capacity and low resistance to electricity. The tubes allow the electrolyte to pass freely. Simultaneously, the tubes prevent the positive active materials from dislodging by keeping the materials compressed inside the tubes. Consequently, this prolongs battery life.

2.) Negative Plate:

The negative plates are the flat pasted type, specially designed for long-lasting and to match with powerful positive plates.

3.) Separator:

The polyethylene Separators, however, are specially designed for the Tubular Plate of Industrial Battery. It separates the negative plates from the positive and thus prevents short-circuiting. Additionally, the high porosity of the separator allows electrolytes to freely react with active materials, generate low resistance, and hence can provide high load power.

4.) Container:

The container is transparent/clear and made of high-grade Polypropylene (PP). A Container comprising six cells holds all the battery components & electrolytes in it. As it is made of virgin PP; robust & rugged in construction which ensures enough mechanical strength, withstands high voltage, and provides maximum temperature protection.

5.) Cover:

After assembling all the battery components inside the container, the container and cover are then attached by heat sealing (400C), thus ensuring the battery is leakproof.

6.) Ceramic Vent Plugs:

The Ceramic Vent plug is a micro porous and Helmet Type. It acts as an exhauster and filters the generated gas inside the cell and drops the acid to return into the cell again. It is explosion-proof and keeps the environment Acid-free and Hygienic.

7.) Heavy Duty Terminals:

It is made of Antimonial lead and specially designed to provide high current flow and ensure minimum voltage drop and temperature rise.

8.) Electrolyte:

Additionally, Battery Grade Sulphuric Acid is free from any other impurities, such as iron, arsenic, and cadmium. Furthermore, the specific gravity of the electrolyte is 1.250+-0.005 when fully charged at the temperature of 25DC.
